My love for sewing and designing began with a needle and thread, crafting clothes for my dolls (who were undoubtedly the best-dressed dolls around!). By the time I reached elementary school, I was already using a sewing machine to make clothes for myself. During junior high and high school, I expanded my skills to sew for friends and classmates, creating everything from cheerleader uniforms to prom dresses.
When I moved on to college, I pursued design in Atlanta, continuing to sew for teachers and classmates. With a degree in Design and Business, I embarked on a career in apparel manufacturing, accumulating over 30 years of experience. Along the way, I had the honor of sewing for a famous singer and actress, as well as several other VIPs.
I’ve helped many individuals turn their sketches into prototypes, products, and ultimately, successful businesses.
In 1998, I founded Andrea’s Designs LLC, and since 2008, I’ve been running it as a full-time business. I feel incredibly blessed to be doing what I LOVE for a living. There’s nothing else I’d rather do than sew! xoxo
